Day one commences at Blenheim Palace, located near Oxford.

Travel England Tours proudly presents a 3-day expedition from our London base, dedicated to unveiling the remarkable life and era of Britain’s greatest leader.

Celebrated for his iconic declaration, “we will never surrender,” Sir Winston Churchill’s legacy comes to life through this immersive experience.

Blenheim Palace, Bladon Village

Our odyssey commences on day one at Blenheim Palace, located near Oxford, where we trace Winston’s origins. Delve into the rich history of the palace and its sprawling grounds.

Our first day culminates with a visit to St. Martin’s Church in Bladon village, where Sir Winston Churchill rests eternally.

Returning to London, we venture to the Battle of Britain bunker, an integral part of Churchill’s wartime activities. Discover the untold stories of the Battle of Britain, masterminded from the RAF’s 11 Group Command Centre, where Churchill himself stood on that fateful day on September 15th, 1940.

Day 2

A Glimpse into Churchill’s World

Commencing with an exclusive exploration of Harrow School, located in North London.

Day two commences with an exclusive exploration of Harrow School, located in North London. This is where the young Churchill honed his intellect before embarking on his military journey.

We then journey to central London, where we delve into the heart of history at the Churchill War Rooms in Whitehall. During World War II, these rooms served as the epicentre of British government operations, shaping crucial decisions during the conflict.

After a delightful lunch, we immerse ourselves in the Imperial War Museum in South London, a treasure trove of historical artifacts spanning two centuries.

Day 3

A Glimpse into Churchill’s Private Life

Our final day takes us to Chartwell House in Kent, offering a glimpse into the private world of Sir Winston and Clementine Churchill.

Chartwell House

Over four decades, they called this enchanting place home. Sir Winston’s creative spirit is on full display as we explore the house.

Much of which he designed and built himself. His cherished landscapes and watercolours grace the grounds, and his artworks adorn the house’s walls.

Savour a delightful lunch on the premises before we return to London, concluding our tour.
