Our journey continues as we head to Auckland Castle, boasting over a thousand years of history and a unique connection to England’s sole Prince Bishop. Afterward, we’ll take a short drive to Binchester, where you can explore a Roman fortification dating back to AD75.

We commence in Newcastle Upon Tyne, a city with roots tracing back to a Roman fort along Hadrian’s Wall. Its nearly 2,000 years of history reveal its evolution under Roman, Saxon, Viking, and industrial influences.
Today, Newcastle stands as a vibrant hub for commerce and culture, drawing visitors from across the globe.
Durham is our next destination on the North East tour, a picturesque small city famous for its Norman Cathedral and 11th-century castle, both designated as World Heritage Sites.
The Norman Cathedral played a central role in Medieval England as a pilgrimage site. Wander through the city’s charming cobbled streets and explore the unique shops. We recommend staying in Newcastle for the evening.

Coastal Beauty and Historical Treasures

Discover the castle and priory perched at the coast’s mouth, a testament to Tynemouth’s former status as one of England’s largest fortified areas.
Next on our North East England tour is Morpeth, known as Northumberland’s historical country town. It offers upscale shopping, rich history dating back to 1095, and a visit to Lord Admiral’s house, a hero of the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805.
Continuing our journey, we reach Howick Hall, the ancestral home of the Earls Grey, famous for Earl Grey tea. The Hall’s charming grounds include delightful gardens and an arboretum.
